Vodafone Tells iPhone 4S Users to Not Upgrade

February 11, 2013

UK cellular carrier Vodafone has recommended that customers who own an iPhone 4S wait to upgrade to the latest Apple OS, iOS 6.1. They say it can interfere with 3G connectivity. A notice from the company said, “Some customers may occasionally experience difficulty in connecting to the network to make or receive calls or texts or to connect to the Internet. Apple is working on a solution to their software issue. These connection problems are intermittent.” Similar issues have been found with some owners of the iPhone 5. It is not uncommon for bugs to pop up following an iOS update, commonly related to battery life and connectivity.
