Meet the iPad HD
Apple just announced the iPad HD,
aka iPad 3, yesterday. The rumors about the device were so close to
true that the new specs might seem disappointing to people, especially if they saw this concept video,
but there's still a lot to be excited about. The tablet has a better
resolution than most computers, plus it packs 4G Long Term Evolution.
In a nutshell, this iPad will have tons of processing power to boost everyday tasks, things displayed on the iPad will look more beautiful and taking pictures will be delightful.
Mobiquity's Chief Architect Ty Rollin told the Dose that this is a great consumer device with some improvements over the older generation that might interest companies. "4G LTE in such a beautiful device definitely makes this a great tablet for a sales force or employees on the go," Rollin said. "It's amazing that there's now a tablet out there that has a better resolution than most computers. Why would anyone want to be showing concepts or editing photos on anything else?"
If you or your company find yourself with a boatload of older iPads and you are thinking of upgrading, our recommendation is Gazelle.com. The site offers friction-free transactions. You can sell you old iPad for cash.
In addition to 4G LTE, the iPad HD features:
- A Retina Display with 264 pixels per inch and a 2048 x 1536 aspect ratio
- A5X processor, which Apple says is twice as fast as Tegra 3 chips
- iSight 5mp camera, 5-element lens, auto face-detection and auto focus (same photo and video technology as the iPhone 4s).
