Enterprises Need the Digital Village

Social media is one of the new necessities for the modern enterprise. Corporate Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter pages are about as ubiquitous as cheeseheads at a Packers game. The most obvious incarnation of social media is as an external method of engagement and can very often be an incredible medium for increasing engagement and receiving valuable input with end users, potential customers and the like. However, social media isn't just for the customer. It can be an extremely valuable tool for promoting collaborative problem solving, distributing information, adaptation at an organization-wide level and more.
